We have had the busiest, happiest time hosting missionaries and pastors this past month. Finally Olas Retreat is being used how we feel God intended. Its a relaxing place and people are really appreciating time away to truly slow down, and often make big decisions with their next steps.
We have also hosted a fantastic outreach team from YWAM Kona Ships for the month of August. They really helped us build community here by volunteering in some local projects, ranging from a turtle sanctuary to beach clean ups to visiting an orphanage to being part of our local church.
We also hosted some kiwi friends which made us feel closer to home, Jim and Ann Dowman, from NZ came to practically help here at the retreat. Painting, fixing hanging, you name it and they did it. They were such a blessing to us.
